Billionaire Australian businessman James Packer has married Kylie Lim in a private ceremony on the northeast coast of Sardinia, Italy. The wedding, attended by a small group of family and friends, marks Packer’s third marriage and is believed to be Lim’s first.

The couple first began dating in late 2017 after being introduced by mutual friends in Aspen, Colorado, where both own properties. Their relationship ended in 2020 but was rekindled last year. They became engaged in March, a milestone Packer publicly announced, expressing his happiness and optimism about their future together.

Lim, a Canadian-born former model, has been credited with providing significant support to Packer during a difficult period in his life, which included struggles with mental health and alcohol dependence. In 2018, Packer sought treatment for depression and bipolar disorder at the McLean Hospital in Boston, during which time Lim developed close ties with his family, including his elderly mother, Ros. Packer has described Lim as a “good partner” and acknowledged her positive influence in his life in his 2018 memoir, *The Price of Fortune*.

The wedding took place amid a busy European summer for the Packer family. Just a week prior, Packer and Lim attended the wedding celebrations of his niece, Francesca Barham, in Mallorca, Spain. Family members, including Packer’s former wife Erica Baxter and their three children—Indigo, 18, Jackson, 16, and Emmanuelle, 13—were also present.

Packer’s previous marriages were to swimsuit model and designer Jodhi Meares from 1999 to 2002 and to model Erica Baxter from 2007 to 2013. Despite past breakups and public personal challenges—including a highly publicized relationship with singer Mariah Carey—Packer has maintained close relationships with both former wives.

Since reuniting with Lim last year, Packer appears to have found stability. The couple reportedly made swift plans for the wedding following their engagement announcement earlier this year during Packer’s regular Mediterranean retreats.
