The 14th Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2026 is scheduled to open in Dhaka on Thursday, bringing together exhibitors from over 20 countries. The three-day event will be hosted at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Agragaoon and is organized by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB).
The fair was announced during a press briefing on Tuesday, which was led by TOAB President Mohammad Hanif. Former TOAB President Md Rafuzzaman and Kamrul Islam, General Manager of US-Bangla Airlines, also attended.
This year’s edition, the 14th in the series, will run under the theme "AI-Powered Tourism, Sustainable Destinations." The focus aims to leverage modern technology, particularly artificial intelligence, to advance the tourism sector, promote environmentally sustainable practices, and enhance global connectivity.
Participants include tourism representatives from countries such as Nepal, India, Singapore, the Maldives, the Philippines, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, China, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Thailand, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Azerbaijan. US-Bangla Airlines is serving as the title sponsor of the event.
The exhibition will host more than 220 exhibitors across over 200 booths and stalls, attracting approximately 250 qualified buyers and 2,500 trade visitors. Organizers anticipate attendance by around 60,000 visitors throughout the three days.
More than 200 airlines, hotels, and tour operators will be represented across four exhibition halls, organized by themes. The fair is designed to provide an interactive platform for businesses to connect with buyers, explore commercial opportunities, and develop partnerships.
During the briefing, Mohammad Hanif highlighted the fair’s role in promoting Bangladesh’s domestic tourism internationally, while facilitating business-to-business networking with international brands, potentially opening new commercial avenues.
The event is supported by various government bodies, including the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, and Bangladesh Tourism Board, among others. Biman Bangladesh Airlines is partnering as the official airline, and Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport is the platinum hospitality partner.
