At least three people were killed and more than 30 others injured in a drone strike on the southeastern Ukrainian town of Pavlohrad, authorities said Thursday. The attack, attributed to Russian forces, caused damage to several shops and vehicles, according to the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor’s office.

Pavlohrad is located approximately 80 kilometers from the active front lines of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Officials are currently investigating the incident as a potential war crime.

Since February 2022, Ukraine has been engaged in a full-scale conflict following Russia’s invasion of its territory. The drone strike on Pavlohrad represents one of many recent attacks targeting civilian and urban areas in regions near the frontline.
