Veteran Sri Lankan badminton player Thushari Brahmanage delivered an impressive showing at the NCPBA All-Island Open Badminton Championships, securing four gold medals in Masters and Senior-level events. The competition showcased Brahmanage’s enduring skill and competitive spirit across multiple categories.
Brahmanage claimed the top prize in the 100 Mixed Doubles event alongside partner Duminda Jayakody. She then teamed up with Chandrika de Silva, another seasoned player, to win gold in both the 50 Women’s Doubles and the Combined 100 Women’s Doubles events. Additionally, Brahmanage, Jayakody, and Sahan Pradeep combined efforts to take first place in the 3-on-3 150 category.
The results highlight Brahmanage’s versatility as she excelled in both doubles and team formats, demonstrating consistency and high-level performance throughout the tournament.
