The report highlights TikTok’s proactive approach, with 99.5 percent of the videos removed before users flagged them. Additionally, 92.3 percent of these videos were taken down within 24 hours of detection. Following further review, 33,503 videos initially removed were reinstated.
On a global scale, TikTok removed over 188 million videos in the same quarter, roughly 0.5 percent of total uploads worldwide. The vast majority—more than 183 million videos—were detected and removed through automated technologies. The global proactive removal rate was also 99.5 percent, with 92.7 percent of videos taken down within 24 hours. Over 6.2 million removed videos were restored after additional examination.
The platform also focused on maintaining account integrity by removing 146.8 million fake accounts and suspending 26.8 million accounts thought to belong to users under 13, who are prohibited from using TikTok. In addition, nearly 278.4 million comments violating Community Guidelines were deleted.
Enforcement efforts extended to TikTok’s LIVE feature as well. The report states that 2.4 percent of all LIVE content was suspended during the quarter. The company issued warnings or demonetized more than 76.7 million LIVE sessions and 26.8 million LIVE creators. After review, approximately 2.4 million LIVE sessions were reinstated.
These actions form part of TikTok’s ongoing efforts to foster a safe and trusted environment for its users globally, enforcing policies designed to curb harmful content and protect platform integrity.
