Harrison, a local product from just south of the Tweed, emerged as a key player during the Titans' recent NRL campaign. He made headlines on Saturday night by kicking a decisive last-minute field goal to secure a 19-18 victory over premiership favorites Penrith at Cbus Super Stadium in front of a crowd of 20,047. That moment marked a highlight in Harrison’s brief six-game NRL career and reinforced his potential as a long-term solution at halfback for the Titans, a role the club has sought since foundation player Scott Prince departed in 2012.

Since his arrival late last year, Harrison has drawn praise from Titans coach Josh Hannay, who took over the team after Des Hasler. Hannay has been impressed with Harrison’s passion and commitment, emphasizing the halfback’s connection to the Gold Coast and desire to lead the club to success. “Zane is a diehard Titans tragic,” Hannay said, describing Harrison as a player who grew up wanting to represent and win with the Gold Coast club.

Hannay highlighted the difference in Harrison's motivation compared to typical players of his age, noting that he is not only skilled but also highly driven to excel in his position and achieve a premiership. “He has spoken often about his love for the Gold Coast club and desire to win a competition,” the coach added.
