Actor Tom Holland has described working with director Christopher Nolan as one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of his career. Reflecting on the project, he praised Nolan’s patience, professionalism, and confidence, noting that the director provided a strong sense of support throughout the process.

Holland is currently preparing for a new role as legendary dancer and actor Fred Astaire in an upcoming biopic set to begin filming next year. The film, produced by Paul King—known for his work on "Paddington"—will trace Astaire's career from his early days in vaudeville to his status as a leading figure in Hollywood’s Golden Age.

Having previously appeared in the West End production of "Billy Elliot" starting at age 11, Holland draws on his background in dance for this role. He revealed that his parents encouraged him and his brothers to take dance lessons at a local program called Nifty Feet. While he assured producer Paul King of his dance abilities, Holland admitted that stepping back into tap shoes after 15 years was a significant challenge, describing his initial rehearsals as a test that either would lead to success or failure. Fortunately, he said, the skills returned swiftly.

Speaking on the US podcast "Good Hang," Holland acknowledged feeling nervous about fully committing to the Astaire project, emphasizing the importance of dedication for the film’s success. As he enters his 30s, he expressed enthusiasm about no longer being perceived as a child actor and looks forward to embracing more mature roles.

With several projects lined up, Holland conveyed optimism about this new phase of his career, expressing excitement to explore different characters and continue evolving as an actor.
