Toronto police are investigating incidents of property damage at two locations of the same Jewish-owned bakery chain in the city. According to authorities, one bakery near the intersection of Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue West was struck by gunfire, while a second location near Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West had a window broken. Police have found no evidence of gunfire at the second site, and no injuries were reported at either location.

The incidents were reported Sunday morning after employees arrived for work, though the exact timing of the damage remains unclear. At a news conference, Duty Inspector Scott Bradbury acknowledged the concern these acts cause within the Jewish community. He confirmed that both the hate crimes division and the guns and gangs task force are actively investigating the cases.

Police have urged anyone with information or video footage related to the incidents to come forward. Bradbury also noted that residents in the affected neighborhoods can expect increased police presence as the investigation proceeds.
