Tottenham Hotspur are intensifying their summer recruitment efforts with a potential move for Manchester City winger Savinho, valued at approximately £50 million. The London club’s manager, Roberto De Zerbi, is leading a significant transfer campaign aimed at strengthening the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Earlier this summer, Tottenham secured the free transfer of experienced left-back Andy Robertson from Liverpool, addressing a key area in their defense. In addition, the club has reached a preliminary agreement to sign Argentine centre-back Marcos Senesi from Bournemouth. Meanwhile, their £70 million bid for Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke was rejected, but negotiations are reportedly ongoing.
Savinho, 22, had been linked with Tottenham in the previous transfer window, but Manchester City were reluctant to let the Brazilian winger leave, and the player himself was keen to remain and compete for a starting spot. However, with Manchester City pursuing their own squad reconstruction, Savinho is now reportedly interested in a fresh challenge and is pushing for a move to Spurs.
The club is also expected to manage several departures as part of this squad overhaul. Defender Cristian Romero is considered one of the main candidates for departure, while there is strong interest in forward Mathys Tel, suggesting Tottenham are open to player sales to balance their incoming transfers.
Tottenham’s transfer activity reflects their ambition to rapidly bolster their options across multiple positions and build a team that can contend at the highest levels domestically and in Europe.
