Ipswich Town have bolstered their squad ahead of their return to the Premier League with several new signings. The club has secured winger Abdul Fatawu from Leicester City and forward Daizen Maeda from Celtic, as well as goalkeeper Kayne van Oevelen from Dutch side Volendam.

Abdul Fatawu, a 22-year-old Ghana international, has joined Ipswich on a five-year contract for a reported fee of £20 million. Upon signing, Fatawu expressed enthusiasm about the club’s ambitions and readiness to compete in the upcoming Premier League season.

Japanese forward Daizen Maeda, 28, is set to join Ipswich for an initial £8 million, with a possible additional £2 million payment contingent on the club maintaining its Premier League status and the player’s number of appearances. Maeda was in the final year of his contract with Celtic prior to the move.

Goalkeeper Kayne van Oevelen, 22, has also signed a five-year deal with Ipswich, joining from Dutch club Volendam for a transfer fee around £3.4 million. The addition of van Oevelen provides further depth in goal as the club prepares for top-flight competition.

Ipswich Town, nicknamed the Tractor Boys, are aiming to strengthen their squad significantly as they step up to the Premier League, investing in a mix of international talent to enhance their chances of success in the upcoming campaign.
