A traditional theatrical troupe led by dancer San Yay Moe is scheduled to perform at Myanmar’s upcoming Traditional Fun Fair, set to take place from November 6 to 8 at the Yangon Convention Centre, located within the Inya Lake Hotel. The troupe’s performance will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the opening day of the event.
The three-day fair aims to offer visitors an immersive cultural experience by recreating the ambiance of traditional markets, evoking memories of childhood for many attendees. Alongside the theatrical presentation, guests will have the opportunity to sample and purchase a variety of traditional Myanmar foods, as well as shop for local products and handicrafts representing different regions of the country.
The event’s program includes additional performances and activities on subsequent days. On November 7, a musical act known as Project K will take the stage, followed by a series of ethnic traditional dance performances and discussion sessions scheduled for November 8. Organizers expect the event to provide a comprehensive showcase of Myanmar’s diverse cultural heritage.
