A man has appeared in court charged with murder following a shooting at a traveller site near Cricklade, Wiltshire, on Sunday morning. Shane Porter, 35, from Calcutt, faces accusations of killing 36-year-old Jimmy Ward. He appeared at Swindon magistrates’ court, where he was also charged with possession of a shotgun.

Alongside Porter, two other individuals have been charged in connection with the incident. Eddie Porter, 74, and Tammy Brown, 42, both from Luton, are charged with assisting an offender and possession of a shotgun.
