An iconic white three-piece suit worn by John Travolta in the 1977 film *Saturday Night Fever* is set to go up for auction with an estimated value reaching £300,000. The garment, which helped define the disco era and was famously sported by Travolta’s character Tony Manero, is being offered as part of a larger sale featuring film and television memorabilia.

The suit later belonged to film critic Gene Siskel and includes a handwritten message from Travolta on the lining, adding to its provenance. The auction will take place in Los Angeles over four days, from August 26 to 29, hosted by Propstore, a company specializing in entertainment collectibles.

The sale features more than 1,700 lots with an overall estimated value of approximately £7 million. Alongside Travolta’s suit, notable items include the Frank the Rabbit costume from the 2001 cult film *Donnie Darko*, which is expected to fetch up to £150,000. Other highlighted pieces include the stunt axe used by Jack Nicholson in the 1980 horror film *The Shining*, valued at £76,000, and an amber fossil featuring a mosquito, which appeared in *Jurassic Park*, with an anticipated sale price of £150,000.

Additional notable items available include an original golden snitch from *Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone*, with an estimated value near £38,000. The auction also features Michael Keaton’s Batsuit from *Batman Returns* (1992) and a light-up upper body armor worn by Iron Man in the 2016 Marvel film *Captain America: Civil War*.

Brandon Alinger, a representative of Propstore, emphasized the significance of the auction in preserving and celebrating film and television history. He noted that these artifacts offer enthusiasts an opportunity to own tangible pieces that helped bring beloved stories to life on screen.
