A trial is underway at Bolton Crown Court involving Sultani Bakatash, 29, who faces allegations of sexually assaulting two 14-year-old girls. The prosecution claims that Bakatash provided the teenagers with vodka until they became semi-conscious before attacking them.

According to prosecutor Charlotte Rimmer, Bakatash met one of the girls at an Asda store and later established contact with both victims through Snapchat. On December 6, 2025, he allegedly invited the girls to his flat where he gave them alcohol, rendering them near unconscious. Ms. Rimmer told the court that Bakatash then took advantage of their impaired state to sexually assault them, dragging the victims across a carpet during the attacks.

Police responded to a call at Bakatash’s Bolton residence around 11 p.m. on the night in question, discovering the girls in significant distress. Bakatash was apprehended the following day at his brother’s address. During police questioning, he reportedly claimed he believed the girls were 18 and 19 years old and that any sexual activity was consensual and initiated by the victims. However, the prosecution noted that Bakatash has since retracted this position, now denying that any sexual contact occurred and accusing the girls of fabricating their accounts.

Bakatash has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The trial remains ongoing as the court continues to hear evidence from both sides.
