Mysterious black, triangle-shaped objects traveling at speeds of up to 1,800 miles per hour without leaving vapor trails have been detected over classified U.S. military installations multiple times within the past year, according to newly declassified government documents released Friday. The sightings have raised significant concerns within national security circles, though the origin of the unidentified aerial phenomena remains unknown.
The declassified files, issued under the Trump administration’s Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Encounters, detail at least three instances in which the objects were observed flying over highly secure sites where the U.S. tests advanced technology. Specific dates and exact locations of the encounters were withheld from the public to maintain operational security.
Sketches included in the release depict sharply defined black triangular shapes situated above mountainous terrain. Witnesses, including personnel affiliated with the FBI and other agencies, reported that the objects moved at speeds equivalent to 1.5 miles in three seconds, approximating 1,800 miles per hour. Notably, the objects produced no audible noise or exhaust emissions, and thermal scans indicated a consistent, uniform heat signature—distinct from typical aircraft or drones, which exhibit hotter spots corresponding to engines or propulsion units.
A memorandum from the Department of War describes the objects as having a “continuous (seamless), featureless surface” without any visible structural breaks, propulsion openings, aerodynamic control surfaces, or cockpit areas. Observers noted that the speed and maneuverability resembled that of high-performance fighter jets, but no familiar aviation technology matched the described characteristics.
Authorities involved in the investigations excluded the possibility that the objects represented known American military technology. While speculation regarding foreign involvement exists, government officials have expressed skepticism, citing the lack of evidence that other nations currently possess the highly advanced capabilities implied by the sightings.
Two key witnesses indicated that the encounters produced no physiological effects, suggesting the objects’ presence did not directly impact human health during observation. Despite ongoing analysis, the nature of these triangle-shaped UAPs and the implications for U.S. airspace security continue to remain unexplained.
