Police have launched a murder investigation after a mother and her two children were found dead at their home in Great Denham, near Bedford, Bedfordshire. Authorities were alerted on Monday after concerned relatives reported not having seen the family for several days. Upon entering the property, officers believed the three suffered fatal injuries consistent with murder.

Bedfordshire Police have identified a suspect linked to all three victims. Assistant Chief Constable John Murphy stated that the individual is believed to have left the country, prompting an international manhunt. Murphy described the case as "deeply distressing" and emphasized the complexity of the ongoing investigation. Formal identification of the victims has not yet been completed.

Police have indicated there is no indication of a broader public threat but are increasing patrols around the area to support the inquiry and reassure local residents. Authorities have also appealed for information from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity on Carnoustie Drive, Great Denham, during the previous Friday or Saturday.

The investigation remains in its early stages, with police dedicating resources to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident and to locate the suspect. Assistant Chief Constable Murphy extended sympathies to those affected and acknowledged the concern the case has caused locally and beyond.
