Truro City secured a 2-0 victory over Maidenhead United in a competitive home match on Saturday, marking their first win on home ground in a full 90 minutes since Boxing Day 2025. The decisive goals came in the first half, both capitalizing on errors by Maidenhead’s goalkeeper Jordi van Stappershoef.

Tyler Harvey opened the scoring after Maidenhead’s custodian nearly dropped the ball directly to him, allowing Harvey to convert from close range. Five minutes later, Will Dean doubled Truro’s lead following a corner from Luke Jephcott that was not adequately cleared, enabling Dean to finish at the back post. Despite their commanding performance, Truro missed additional opportunities, twice hitting the woodwork.

In the second half, Maidenhead responded with increased pressure, creating several chances. However, Aidan Stone, Truro’s goalkeeper, thwarted efforts from Josh Umerah and Josh Coley, including a low save and a tipped-over free-kick, respectively. A potential Umerah goal was disallowed due to a handball call following a cross from Joshua Johnson.

As the match entered stoppage time, Harvey narrowly missed a chance to extend the lead, striking the side netting while Truro continued to press for a third goal. The win represents a significant boost for Truro City as they look to build momentum in the current season.
