Television presenter Maya Jama has expressed interest in taking on a role in the James Bond franchise following her recent participation in the BBC One series Celebrity Traitors. The 32-year-old, known for hosting Love Island and her acting role as Aisha in the Netflix series The Gentlemen, highlighted her willingness to perform high-adrenaline stunts as part of her appeal.

During the show’s final challenge, Jama completed a daring helicopter jump, an experience she described as part of her thrill-seeking nature, which includes activities like skydiving. “I was low-key trying to appeal for a Bond role,” she said, suggesting that demonstrating her ability to handle intense physical feats might boost her acting credentials. She also noted her skill at maintaining a "poker face" while playing the role of a Traitor in the series, which she hoped would further enhance her suitability for casting.

Jama was eliminated during the final stages of Celebrity Traitors, after fellow contestant King Kenny, 29, voted her out during the Round Table. Despite this, the two have maintained a friendship following filming at Ardross Castle in Scotland. Reports indicated that King Kenny recently spent a couple of nights at Jama’s London residence, although sources noted he was relegated to the sofa. Jama downplayed any hard feelings about her elimination, stating she understood Kenny's position and holds him in high regard.

Meanwhile, the search for Daniel Craig’s successor as James Bond continues, with final auditions reportedly underway. Actors Jack Lowden, Callum Turner, and Josh O’Connor, all aged 36, are among those being considered, alongside one unidentified candidate. Jama’s public aspirations come at a time when the franchise is actively evaluating potential new lead actors, highlighting the notable interest and competition surrounding the iconic role.
