Two teenage boys were injured during a robbery involving a group of youths in the Corona neighborhood of Queens on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

The incident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. near the intersection of 111th Street and 49th Avenue. Authorities reported that seven individuals threw rocks at the victims—two 15-year-olds and one 17-year-old—in an attempt to force them to surrender their belongings. Following the assault, the attackers stabbed the 17-year-old in the back and right shoulder and slashed one of the 15-year-olds across the face before fleeing the scene with the group’s electric scooter.

The two injured boys were transported to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where they were reported to be in stable condition. The second 15-year-old involved was not physically harmed.

Police later identified and arrested Luinyerbed Marcanoliendo, an 18-year-old from Brooklyn, as a suspect in the stabbing. Marcanoliendo, described as an acquaintance of one of the victims, faces multiple charges including robbery, gang assault, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and harassment. Authorities noted he had no prior criminal record.

The other perpetrators involved in the robbery remain at large as the investigation continues. Officials have not released additional information about ongoing efforts to identify and apprehend the remaining suspects.
