Two U.S. service members were killed and another is missing following an Iranian missile strike on a Jordanian air base, the U.S. military reported Saturday. The missile strike targeted Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan on Friday, according to a U.S. official who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter. The attack was part of a broader wave of assaults carried out by Iran against U.S. allies in the Middle East, including incidents in Kuwait and Bahrain. These Iranian actions coincided with a week-long series of U.S. airstrikes against Iranian positions.
