A new initiative launched by Creators HQ in partnership with Amazon Ads aims to support content creators in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in expanding their existing retail businesses through Amazon.ae. The Amazon Creators Foundry, a six-month program, opened applications on August 26 and will close them on September 9, selecting 20 UAE-based creators to participate.
The program targets creators who have an established online presence, requiring applicants to have at least 100,000 followers across their social media platforms. However, a large audience alone is insufficient to qualify. Applicants must already engage in commercial activity by selling their own products, either through social media or other channels, indicating that the program is designed to help grow existing businesses rather than serve as an influencer monetization tool.
In addition to demonstrating an existing retail operation, participants must hold or be prepared to obtain a valid Dubai e-commerce trade license. Selection will be based on eligibility criteria with only 20 participants chosen to move forward.
The program will guide participants through practical steps for establishing a retail presence on Amazon.ae. This includes assistance with obtaining the necessary business license from Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism and setting up an Amazon seller account. Selected creators will receive personalized support for product listing creation, storefront development, order fulfillment, and launching advertising campaigns. Each participant will be assigned a dedicated Amazon account manager throughout the program.
One notable feature available to participants is Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), which allows creators to send their inventory to Amazon's fulfillment centers. Amazon then handles storage, packaging, and shipping, reducing logistical challenges as businesses scale their order volume.
Marketing support is a significant component of the Creators Foundry. Participants may receive up to $100,000 in Amazon DSP media budget along with a $2,000 matching incentive for Amazon Sponsored Ads. The program also includes expert-led training covering online retail management, digital marketing techniques, brand development, and strategies suited to high-demand shopping periods. Additional resources include workshops and mentorship sessions facilitated by Amazon leadership.
Beyond the UAE market, selected creators could potentially access Amazon’s international selling program, allowing them to list and sell products across Amazon's global platforms, thereby broadening their reach.
This program represents a targeted effort to bridge the gap between social media-based product sales and structured e-commerce operations, providing UAE creators with comprehensive tools and resources to scale their businesses on Amazon.ae and beyond.
