In the first half of 2026, investors from the United Arab Emirates accounted for more than half of Sharjah’s real estate trade value, highlighting the emirate’s sustained attractiveness to local investors. According to a report released by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, UAE nationals led investment activity, contributing Dh14.9 billion out of the total Dh29.5 billion in real estate transactions recorded during the period.
The report detailed that these investments covered 22,599 properties held by 9,655 investors within the emirate. This represents 50.6 percent of the overall real estate trade value in Sharjah for the first six months of the year.
Authorities credited the robust performance to increasing investor confidence in Sharjah’s property market. The report also drew attention to the notable involvement of Emirati women in real estate dealings. While male investors accounted for 72 percent of traded properties, women represented a significant 28 percent of ownership activity, reflecting a growing trend of female participation in the sector.
These figures underscore Sharjah’s position as an appealing market for domestic real estate investors and indicate continued momentum in the emirate’s property sector in 2026.
