The United Arab Emirates has delivered more than 136,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Gaza since the launch of Operation Gallant Knight 3, which is now approaching its third anniversary. According to figures released by the UAE, 14,442 trucks have transported essential supplies, including food and shelter materials, to families affected by ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.
The multifaceted humanitarian effort utilizes a combination of land, air, and sea routes to ensure aid reaches those in need. The UAE has conducted 778 humanitarian flights and deployed 25 ships for maritime delivery, with vessels departing from UAE ports, Al Arish in Egypt, and Cyprus. Additionally, 81 airdrop operations, under the "Birds of Goodness" initiative, have been carried out to supply areas that are difficult to access by road. In total, 218 aircraft have delivered more than 4,000 tonnes of food and relief items.
Healthcare support forms a significant component of the mission. The UAE-supported medical network has treated 294,577 cases, including 35,030 patients at the UAE Floating Hospital based in Al Arish. This floating facility provides medical assessments, treatment, and specialized care to injured individuals evacuated from Gaza. The initiative named "A Step of Hope" has also supplied prosthetic limbs to 198 amputees, aiming to help individuals regain mobility following severe injuries.
Efforts to address water scarcity have included the deployment of 50 water tankers to transport and distribute water within Gaza. Beyond basic needs, the operation has also focused on social support. In the first half of 2026, it facilitated collective wedding celebrations for 408 Palestinian grooms, an event attended by over 30,000 people, designed to encourage young Palestinians starting families in Gaza.
Nineteen UAE humanitarian and charitable organizations have been involved in Operation Gallant Knight 3, coordinating across sectors such as food assistance, healthcare, shelter, and water services. The operation continues to respond actively to the humanitarian needs in Gaza through comprehensive delivery methods, including convoys, hospitals, air and sea bridges, and airdrops.
