The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) convened its campus community for the 2026 annual Clubs Fair, transforming the university grounds into a lively showcase of student involvement and creativity. Organized by the Student Engagement & Alumni Affairs Directorate, the event aimed to provide students with opportunities to explore new interests and deepen their participation in campus life.
Held under the theme “Woven Together,” the fair emphasized the idea that each student club represents a distinct thread contributing to the strength and diversity of UDST’s community. More than 30 student clubs participated, spanning a wide range of fields including arts and culture, technology, entrepreneurship, sports, health, and entertainment. The fair also added the Scouts Club to its lineup, developed in partnership with the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, broadening the avenues for student leadership and engagement.
Throughout the event, clubs highlighted their activities and achievements through interactive booths, several of which demonstrated a commitment to sustainability by incorporating recycled and eco-friendly materials into their designs. The fair served not only as a platform for student expression but also as a reflection of UDST’s broader dedication to fostering a dynamic university experience that extends beyond academics.
Fahad Al Hajri, vice president for student affairs at UDST, commented on the significance of the event, stating that the university views student clubs as integral to discovering passions, developing leadership skills, and turning ideas into impactful initiatives. He emphasized that the Clubs Fair reflects the creativity and enthusiasm of the student body and underscores the institution’s support for an environment where students can actively contribute and lead.
In addition to showcasing student activities, the university recognized outstanding clubs for their dedication and innovation through a series of awards at the fair. These accolades aimed to encourage healthy competition while acknowledging teamwork and commitment demonstrated during the event.
