Ukrainian diver Nelli Chukanivska captured the women’s high diving title at the LEN European Aquatics Championships held in Paris on August 8. The 19-year-old secured the top spot in the women’s 20-metre diving event with a total score of 324.70 points.

The competition took place at the Pont de Bir-Hakeim, a notable landmark in the French capital, drawing a field of 23 athletes in total—15 men and eight women—competing across the high diving disciplines. Chukanivska’s performance stood out in a strong field, earning her the European championship distinction.

The LEN European Aquatics Championships, held biennially, bring together elite swimmers, divers, and high divers from across the continent. The inclusion of high diving events highlights the growing prominence of this discipline within aquatic sports.

Chukanivska’s victory adds to Ukraine’s presence in competitive aquatic sports, following previous successes by Ukrainian athletes on the European and world stages.
