Qatar secured the Asian Under-19 Handball Championship title with a 28-24 victory over Bahrain in the final held on Monday in Amman, Jordan. The Qatari team established an early advantage, leading 16-10 at halftime, and managed to maintain control throughout the second half to clinch the championship by a four-goal margin.

Qatar entered the final after a closely contested 32-28 win against South Korea in the semifinals. Bahrain secured their spot in the championship match by defeating Iran 26-23. Throughout the tournament, Qatar remained unbeaten, topping Group B with eight points. Their group stage wins included victories over Saudi Arabia (30-22), Kuwait (30-19), Iran (24-22), and Syria (42-29).

Following group play, Qatar continued their dominant performance with a commanding 33-13 win against host nation Jordan in the quarterfinals before overcoming South Korea to advance to the final. This continental success also earned Qatar a place in the 2027 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship, which will take place in North Macedonia. This marked the seventh occasion that Qatar has qualified for the global tournament at the junior level.
