US mission expands Sabah cultural ties

A maritime search-and-rescue exercise is scheduled for September 12 at ODEC Beach, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, simulating accident scenarios involving a ferry and a merchant vessel in Sepanggar Bay. The same day, the Pacific Partnership Fair will be held at Padang Merdeka, featuring health activities and live band performances.

Parallel to PP26, the US Embassy is commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence through Freedom 250 Sabah, a three-day event from September 1 to 3. One highlight was a football clinic at Fut8 Arena in Sembulan, which drew approximately 500 young participants for sports, mentorship, and cultural exchange with US athletes.
