The Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR), represented by Nama Group, launched a national awareness campaign on electricity and water services in Al Sharqiyah North Governorate. The initiative took place during a meeting organized by the Municipal Council, which brought together community members and representatives of civil society institutions from various wilayats within the governorate.

During the meeting, a visual presentation highlighted the campaign’s goals, focusing on educating subscribers about their service rights and promoting the use of official digital platforms for accessing utility services. The overarching aim is to support the broader digital transition in public service delivery.

The campaign emphasized that 40 services are now accessible through the Nama App and the related electronic portal. These services include bill payments, reporting leaks and malfunctions, monitoring consumption, and submitting complaints, all available without the need to visit physical company offices. According to the campaign, 70 percent of subscribers currently use the Nama App, indicating a significant increase in the adoption of digital technology for managing utility services in the region.

The APSR’s efforts reflect a wider move toward enhancing customer convenience and operational efficiency by leveraging digital tools to streamline public services in Oman.
