Vauxhall has launched an updated version of its Astra model in the United Kingdom, with prices starting at £27,495. The refreshed Astra is available in both hatchback and estate Sports Tourer variants, featuring a more defined exterior design compared to the previous generation.

The updated model offers a range of standard equipment across all trims. Entry-level Griffin versions are equipped with a distinctive illuminated “Vizor” front grille, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a 10-inch “Pure Panel” touchscreen display that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Vauxhall has expanded the Astra’s powertrain options to include traditional combustion engines alongside hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric variants. The electric model benefits from a new battery pack, which enhances its driving range by 22 miles, bringing the total to 281 miles on a single charge. This electric Astra is priced competitively, helped by eligibility for the Electric Car Grant, making it more affordable than equivalent hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions.

With these updates, Vauxhall aims to strengthen the Astra’s position in the competitive compact car segment by combining modern design, advanced technology features, and a broad array of efficient powertrain choices.
