ITVX achieved a significant milestone on September 9, reaching three billion streams for the first time, a benchmark that was attained two months earlier than in 2025. The streaming surge was supported by strong performances from several popular programs, notably the drama series Trigger Point.
Trigger Point, starring Vicky McClure as bomb disposal expert Lana, returned for its fourth season, drawing six million viewers for its premiere episode. The six-part series has become ITV’s most successful returning drama, contributing substantially to the platform’s increased streaming activity.
Additionally, the new police drama The Blame, led by Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth, recorded solid audience figures throughout the month. The show is on track to be ITV’s top new drama of the year, maintaining an average viewership of 6.6 million, further bolstering ITVX’s overall streaming numbers.
Reality programming also played a role in the platform’s growth. Streaming of Big Brother increased by more than 50 percent compared to the previous year, attracting a peak audience of 1.4 million viewers so far.
These combined performances across scripted and unscripted content helped ITVX reach its highest streaming volume to date, signaling a period of expanding viewer engagement on the platform.
