Kuwait’s Ministry of Social Affairs has initiated an investigation following the circulation of a video on social media showing alleged child abuse at a local nursery. Faisal Al-Kandari, the acting undersecretary of the ministry, confirmed that appropriate steps have been taken in response to the incident, under the directive of Minister of Social, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah.

According to Al-Kandari, officials from the concerned department have contacted the guardian of the child involved as well as the nursery’s management to gather information and assess the situation. The ministry has emphasized that legal action will be pursued if the allegations are substantiated.

The video’s rapid spread on social platforms prompted swift government response amid growing public concern about child welfare and safety in care facilities. Authorities have not yet released further details about the nursery or the child involved, pending the outcome of the ongoing probe.
