Etisalat reported a consolidated net profit of AED 11.2 billion for the third quarter of 2026, bolstered by the sale of its stake in Vodafone Group, alongside revenue growth and an expanding subscriber base. The UAE-based telecommunications company recorded quarterly revenue of AED 19.5 billion, marking a 6.9 percent increase compared with the same period last year. For the first nine months of 2026, consolidated revenue rose 10 percent to AED 57.6 billion.

Net profit for the January to September period reached AED 17.2 billion, representing a 45.9 percent increase year-on-year. The substantial improvement in earnings was significantly supported by the completion of Etisalat’s divestment of its entire holding in Vodafone Group. The transaction yielded total proceeds of AED 21.9 billion, including the final dividend, and generated a gain of approximately AED 8 billion. This disposal enhanced financial flexibility and was a key driver behind the sharp rise in reported profits.

Excluding the impact of the Vodafone transaction, Etisalat’s underlying business showed solid performance. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rose 5.1 percent year-on-year to AED 9 billion during the third quarter, with a margin of 46.1 percent. For the first nine months, EBITDA increased 10.3 percent to AED 26.7 billion, maintaining a margin of 46.4 percent.

Subscriber growth also contributed to the company’s positive results. Etisalat’s global subscriber base expanded by 29.4 percent year-on-year to 254.8 million as of the third quarter. In the UAE market, the number of subscribers grew 5.2 percent to reach 16.5 million.

Masood M. Sharif Mahmood, Group CEO of Etisalat, highlighted the strength of the company’s connectivity business and operational execution as key factors in its performance. He noted that the third-quarter results demonstrate the resilience of Etisalat’s business model amid evolving market conditions.
