In recognition of World Teachers’ Day, Warehouse Stationery has launched a campaign encouraging New Zealanders to show appreciation for teachers while supporting children in need. The initiative invites the public to create free digital cards for teachers via the Warehouse Stationery website. For each card made, the retailer commits to donating NZD 2 to The Salvation Army’s school essentials program, with a maximum contribution of NZD 50,000.

The campaign highlights the vital role teachers play in students’ lives, often going beyond their professional duties to provide support, especially for children facing material hardship. By partnering with The Salvation Army, the program aims to ensure that students from low-income families receive necessary supplies to participate fully in their education.

Participants can create cards online at warehousestationery.co.nz or use dedicated card-making stations available at Warehouse Stationery stores across the country. Customers who wish to extend their support further have the option to add a monetary donation at any of these locations.

The appeal will remain active until November 1, providing an opportunity for the community to both recognize the contributions of educators and assist tamariki who might otherwise lack access to essential school resources.
