Warrington Town continued to struggle for a home victory as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Lancaster City in their latest match. The game took place at Warrington’s home ground on October 10, 2026.

Lancaster began the match strongly, dominating the early stages and creating the first significant opportunity. Steven Yawson’s effort forced a solid save from Warrington goalkeeper Mateusz Hewelt. The visitors took the lead in the 35th minute when a free-kick from Sam Bailey on the right flank caused confusion in the Warrington penalty area. Dylan Thompson capitalized and managed to scramble the ball over the line, giving Lancaster a 1-0 advantage going into halftime.

Warrington responded energetically after the break. Ben Elliott, noted for his work rate throughout the match, scored his first goal for the club by heading home a cross from Josh Doherty on the left side. Shortly after, Callum Edwards had a chance to put Warrington ahead, after a strong run and precise pass from Lewis Earl, but his shot missed the target.

The home side regained the lead in the 65th minute. Elliott’s persistence helped set up Edwards, who then released Reece Daly. Although Daly’s initial shot was saved, he quickly composed himself and cleverly chipped the ball over the Lancaster goalkeeper amidst a scramble, increasing Warrington’s lead to 2-1.

Lancaster fought back to secure a point just five minutes later. Jules Flanagan maneuvered into a position cutting in from the left wing and delivered a well-measured cross. Charlie Bailey rose to head the ball into the Warrington net, leveling the score at 2-2.

Neither team was able to break the deadlock in the remaining minutes, resulting in a shared point. Warrington Town's continued difficulty in securing full home points was evident, while Lancaster demonstrated resilience to come from behind and salvage a draw.
