The Washington Post announced the appointment of Alex Wallace as its new chief operating officer, effective October 19. In her role, Wallace will collaborate with Chief Executive Jeff D’Onofrio to coordinate operations across the company and monitor progress toward business objectives.

Prior to joining the Post, Wallace held the position of executive vice president and head of media and content at Yahoo. There, she managed a diverse portfolio that included Yahoo News, Sports, Entertainment, Finance, as well as TechCrunch and other media-related ventures.
