Thousands of households in Kent continue to experience disruptions to their water supply more than a week after initial problems were reported. According to South East Water, approximately 800 homes in the Wraik Hill and Cranbrook areas remain completely without water, while around 4,000 additional households are dealing with low water pressure or intermittent service throughout the day.
Mike Court, the incident manager overseeing the response, stated that efforts to restore the network are ongoing, but the availability of drinking water remains limited. He urged residents to restrict their use of water to essential purposes only as recovery work continues.
The utility company has not provided a detailed explanation of the cause of the supply issues, but the prolonged disruption has raised concerns among affected communities. South East Water continues to monitor the situation closely and is working to restore full service as quickly as possible.
