Legacy Hall in Plano will host Weiner Fest on July 26, a family-friendly event dedicated to celebrating dachshund dogs. The festival will run from noon to 4 p.m. and is free to attend with an online RSVP.

Dachshund owners are encouraged to bring their pets to participate in a variety of activities, including the Sausage Stampede—a series of wiener dog races—along with a costume contest designed specifically for the breed. Attendees can also have their dogs’ portraits taken by local photographers and enjoy a jewelry and hat bar.

The event will feature vendors offering pet-related goods and services, as well as a “yappy hour” where visitors can receive complimentary pup cups and organic dog treats. Organizers aim to provide an engaging setting for both dachshund owners and dog enthusiasts alike.

Legacy Hall, a popular dining and entertainment venue in Plano, is hosting the event to bring together the community and celebrate these distinctive dogs in a lively and inclusive atmosphere.
