Owen Brain has continued to impress at Barry Town United after joining from Taunton Town this summer, scoring twice in their 4-2 victory over Airbus UK Broughton in a Cymru Premier match at home. The 22-year-old, who trained at the Bristol Rovers Academy and has previously played for Merthyr Town, Keynsham Town, Yate Town, Gloucester City, and Taunton, has now netted five goals in four games this season. His performance included an assist, helping Barry to maintain their perfect start to the league and hold a two-point lead at the summit. Jack Shaw contributed Barry’s fourth goal, while Airbus UK Broughton netted two second-half goals from George Peers and Jordan Evans. The New Saints (TNS) continued their dominant start to the season with a 5-1 home win over Colwyn Bay at Park Hall.
