Megan Corey Burke and Tyler Ray Miller’s relationship progressed rapidly, culminating in an engagement less than six months after they met. The couple, who describe their connection as instant and profound, first crossed paths in November 2025 at the Octagon Inn, a bar and restaurant in Glen Aubrey, New York.
Burke, 41, and Miller, 29, both emerging from previous long-term relationships, were initially unprepared for a new romance. Miller, a field technician at ADT Security’s Syracuse branch, was accompanied by his two young children at the time. Burke, marketing director for motivational speaker Tony Robbins, lives on a 30-acre farm in Ithaca, New York, where she was raised. The farm is home to wild ponies and a Blue Heeler puppy, reflecting Burke’s deep ties to the land she designed and built on property she had admired since childhood.
Their connection was immediate. Miller recalls being struck by Burke’s blue eyes, while Burke was drawn to Miller’s character from the outset. Over four hours at the bar, the two discussed shared interests, including a mutual love of venison—Burke enjoys cooking it, and Miller is an avid deer hunter—and motorcycles, a passion linked through Burke’s father, a former amateur racer, and Miller’s own experience with off-road racing and Harley-Davidson ownership.
Following their initial meeting, they saw each other multiple times at local venues before embarking on a weeklong trip to Nashville, Tennessee. The couple married three months later on August 29 in a backyard ceremony at their Ithaca home, attended by 112 guests. The event was officiated by Pastor Brian Cook of Brooktondale Baptist Church. Miller’s daughter served as flower girl and his son as ring bearer, with deer antlers symbolically displayed above the altar.
