Colombo Development Banking Finance PLC (CDB) delivered a dominant performance at the 41st National Inter-Professional (NIP) Meet held from August 24 to 26 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo. The event featured over 50 teams representing 57 corporate entities across Sri Lanka competing in various sports, including athletics, cricket, hockey, cycling, badminton, netball, and rugby.

CDB secured both the Men’s Gold and Women’s Overall championships, reaffirming its status as a powerhouse in inter-professional sports. The team’s athletes excelled in track and field events, particularly in sprints and relay races, which contributed significantly to their overall success. The company’s strong showing ended a competitive streak dominated by other leading organizations over the past three years.

The NIP Meet, traditionally held since the 1970s, continues to serve as an important platform for fostering sporting spirit and corporate camaraderie. The event has grown into a major annual fixture that combines athletic excellence with professional networking, with participants spanning various industries across the country.
