A five-bedroom mansion in Winnetka overlooking Lake Michigan sold for $8.85 million on October 1, marking the highest-priced home sale in the village for 2026. The two-story stone residence, built in 2001, spans 6,670 square feet and occupies a 0.82-acre flag-shaped lot adjacent to Maple Street Park.
Despite its status as the most expensive property transaction in Winnetka this year, several nearby Chicago-area communities have recorded higher-value sales in 2026. Notably, a lakefront mansion in Glencoe changed hands for $17.5 million, while a residence in Lake Bluff sold for $10.5 million.
Public records identify the seller as Adrienne Noorian. The buyer, however, remains undisclosed, as ownership was transferred to a land trust that conceals its beneficiary. The deed’s listed address corresponds to Delaware Street Capital, a Chicago-based alternative investment firm, suggesting involvement in the transaction.
For the 2025 tax year, the property’s assessed tax obligation was $176,925. The sale highlights ongoing demand for high-end lakefront residences in the North Shore suburbs surrounding Chicago.
