The Atlanta Dream set a new franchise record for points in a single game with a 113-96 victory over the Indiana Fever on Saturday night at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Rhyne Howard led the Dream’s offense with 24 points, while Alisha Gray contributed 22 points as Atlanta secured their third consecutive win.
A highlight of the game was Angel Reese reaching a significant career milestone, becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to accumulate 1,000 rebounds. Reese achieved the mark in just her 79th game, finishing the night with 18 points and eight rebounds.
The Dream played before a sellout crowd of 17,044 fans at State Farm Arena, the home venue of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. This season, Atlanta is hosting five games at the larger arena, an increase from their usual venue, Gateway Center Arena in College Park, which has a seating capacity of 5,000.
Indiana’s Caitlin Clark was also on the court but was unable to keep pace with the high-scoring Dream offense. Atlanta’s performance reflects continued momentum as the team looks to build on their recent success this season.
