Kamilla Cardoso set a Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) record on Friday night by making all 13 of her field goal attempts, finishing with a career-high 30 points to lead the Chicago Sky to a decisive 124-94 victory over the visiting Portland Fire. The record-setting basket came on an open layup assist from Sydney Taylor with 1:42 remaining in the third quarter, which ignited a 14-3 run and extended Chicago’s lead to 88-75 heading into the final period.

In addition to her perfect shooting performance, Cardoso secured a game-high eight rebounds as the Sky improved to 6-12 on the season and completed a season sweep of Portland, marking their third win over the Fire this year. Earlier in the week, Chicago defeated Portland 101-78 on Wednesday.

Portland was led by Bridget Carleton, who scored 20 points and went 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Carla Leite added 18 points, including 9-of-10 from the charity stripe, but was unable to prevent the Fire from falling to 8-12.
