The WNBA will reach a new milestone in its 30th season with a record 216 regular-season games and related events scheduled for broadcast across multiple platforms, the league announced. This marks the largest number of televised games in the league’s history, reflecting continued growth and increased visibility for women's professional basketball.
Coverage will be distributed among a diverse group of networks, including ABC/ESPN, CBS, Prime Video, ION, NBC, USA Network, and NBA TV. ESPN and ABC will televise 30 games, highlighting the league's anniversary. Of these, 13 games—including the All-Star Game—will be aired on ABC. The season opener on ABC will feature a doubleheader spotlighting standout players Caitlin Clark of Indiana and Paige Bueckers of Dallas. The second game of the opening weekend will present a rematch of the previous WNBA Finals, with defending champion Las Vegas hosting the Phoenix Mercury.
CBS will expand its WNBA coverage significantly, airing eight prime-time games this season, up from only two last year. Meanwhile, ION will maintain its popular Friday night doubleheaders, broadcasting over 50 games throughout the season.
Prime Video will stream 31 games, including the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup championship scheduled for June 30. NBC will reintroduce the league to its Sunday lineup with seven games and will also feature 12 Monday games on its Peacock streaming service. Peacock will provide streaming coverage for every game of the WNBA Finals, while NBC or the USA Network will broadcast the Finals on linear television.
USA Network's schedule includes 48 games on Monday and Wednesday nights, further broadening access for viewers. NBA TV will also contribute to the year’s coverage with a 15-game slate.
Together, these arrangements represent a significant expansion in the league’s media partnerships and are aimed at reaching a broader audience as the WNBA marks three decades since its founding.
