A 22-year-old woman died in a skydiving accident near Langar, Nottinghamshire, on Monday. Emergency services were called to the scene just after midday, where the woman was pronounced dead in a field close to the local airfield. Her identity has not been released, but authorities have notified her family.
Detective Inspector Rachel Mayfield said no other individuals were injured in the incident and described it as a tragic event. She added that the investigation is ongoing as police seek to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal accident.
