A 47-year-old woman has been charged following a stabbing incident in Covent Garden that left four men injured. The Metropolitan Police arrested the suspect on Wednesday on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, identified as a pair of scissors, and assault.

The attack occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Endell Street, near Drury Lane, a busy area in central London known for its high foot traffic and tourist attractions. The four male victims, aged 34, 39, 42, and 56, sustained stab wounds but were treated at a hospital and discharged with non-life-threatening injuries.

Stella Gollovena, who has no fixed address, faces four counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one count related to possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. She was scheduled to appear at Highbury magistrates’ court on Thursday afternoon.

Eyewitness accounts described the victims as random passersby who were attacked without warning. One local barber, who confronted the suspect after one victim entered his shop with a bloodstained shirt, said he and others rushed to assist those injured. “We all came rushing out of our shops to help. I ran towards her down the street and she stopped and looked at me, holding the scissors, but I still ran towards her and held her back,” he recalled.

Police established a large cordon around the scene, which extended to the nearby St Mungo’s homeless centre, where officers engaged with individuals before allowing entry. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing is ongoing.
