A 47-year-old woman has been charged following a stabbing incident in London’s Covent Garden that left four men injured. Stella Gollovena, who has no fixed address, was accused of stabbing the men with scissors during an incident on Endell Street around midday on Wednesday.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Gollovena faces four counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) and one count of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. The four victims—identified as Patrick De Barr, Thomas Harding, Adrian Lovett, and Mantas Jankus—suffered stab wounds primarily to their backs. They were all treated at the scene and subsequently transported to a major trauma centre. Authorities later confirmed that the men, aged 34, 39, 42, and 56, had been discharged from hospital, with injuries not considered life-threatening or life-changing.

Gollovena appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court, where she did not enter a plea. She was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 3. The court proceedings follow the swift response from emergency services, including an air ambulance that landed nearby, although all patients were transported to hospital by road.

The stabbing occurred in Covent Garden, a prominent area in central London known for its theatres, restaurants, and high pedestrian traffic. Police and emergency services have not publicly disclosed details regarding the motive or circumstances leading to the attack. An investigation remains ongoing, with authorities continuing to gather evidence related to the case.
