KUWAIT CITY — A female physician working as a general practitioner was arrested after being found to offer unauthorized injection services from her home in the Al-Masayel area, authorities confirmed on August 29.
The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) stated that the physician had advertised on social media the provision of injection treatments using substances not authorized by the Ministry of Health. The activity was uncovered by PAM’s Labor Inspection Department during routine monitoring.
Following the discovery, PAM coordinated with the Ministry of Interior’s Criminal Security Sector as well as the Ministry of Health’s Medical Licensing and Drug Inspection Departments. After securing the necessary approvals, law enforcement officials detained the physician and initiated legal and administrative procedures.
The physician has since been referred to the responsible judicial authorities to face charges related to the unlicensed medical practice and use of unauthorized substances. The investigation remains ongoing.
