Kuwaiti authorities have detained an African woman on suspicion of drug trafficking, officials said Tuesday. The arrest took place on October 20 in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, where police officers observed the woman placing a hashish cigarette at a spot reportedly used by drug users to retrieve narcotics.

Security sources indicated that the suspect frequently brought children with her when visiting public locations to leave drugs. This tactic was believed to help her avoid detection by security personnel. At the time of her arrest, three children were with the woman; however, she was unable to provide identification documents for them. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the children’s presence.

Following the arrest, officers conducted a search of the woman’s residence, uncovering several additional cigarettes suspected of containing narcotic substances, which appeared to be prepared for distribution. The suspect and the seized items were handed over to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) for further examination.

Investigators are continuing their efforts to identify the source of the narcotics and to clarify the extent of the woman’s involvement in the drug trafficking network. The case remains under active investigation.
