A woman riding a three-wheeled motorcycle lost control and struck a group of people in a Brooklyn park on Sunday evening, resulting in four individuals sustaining critical injuries. The incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. in Commodore Barry Park, located in the Fort Greene neighborhood near Flushing Avenue and Navy Street.

Authorities identified the rider as 53-year-old Neisha Atkinson, who reportedly crashed her motorcycle into a crowd of 12 people. The group included seven men and five women who were in the park at the time. Emergency responders transported all the victims to nearby hospitals. Among them, four men aged 73, 65, 58, and 49 were reported to be in critical but stable condition. The remaining individuals, ranging in age from 36 to 65, sustained minor injuries.

Atkinson was arrested on multiple charges, including reckless endangerment, reckless driving, failure to yield to pedestrians, and operating the three-wheeled motorcycle without the proper license. She was also treated at a hospital for minor injuries sustained in the crash. Police indicated that Atkinson resides in the Columbia Street Waterfront District, a few miles from the park where the incident took place.

Investigations remain ongoing to determine the exact circumstances leading to the crash. Authorities have not released further details on whether any additional charges may be filed.
